    Hornady 75 A-Max

Well boys and girls, It works for me
Went to the range today to check out my new sights I received from Bob Jones Sights systems. I took 80gr Noslers and 75 A-Max. At 200yds the A-max were within1/4 inch of each other at 8:00 in the 10 and X ring. The group was so tight I really couldn't pick it out with the Kowa. This sold me on the 75 A-max I'm going to start using it for all my slow fire once my 80's are used up.
I used 24.7gr of WCC 846 which is the same as BLC-2. OAL was 2.390.
Boys and girls the 75 A-Max is not designed tobe shot from the magazine So don't buy them thinking you can make it work If you have defied good logic and it worked for you please don't talk about it here.
    I won't be wronged
    I won't be insulted
And I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.....John Wayne

What chamber do you have? I saw your post and went into the garage to measure some cartridges in my range cart that I use for 200 yard standing practice with 75gr A-Max. The COL is 2.447" +/- .004". This COL is a result of seating the A-Max's .010" off the lands.

      Wow that's good news. 1/4 inch @ 200 yards.
I'll try my load hoping the weather will be ok next week at SBRGC.
I've loaded up 24.5 gr varget , oal 2.390 this morning, will see if this will work on my rifle.

Jon, I have a Wildy chamber. I just got this rebarrel back from compass lake a couple months ago. I also can't remember where I got that AOL from. I use 2.435+/- for my 80's
