    Nambu!

Just bought a 1936 Nambu Type 14, which is currently sitting in jail.

I really really really want to fire this gun...but...

I've found the brass, but it is expensive, $70 per 100!
If I want to try and form them myself the forming die is $245!
I need a die set. The RCBS set is $160!
Even more important, where in the world can I find 8mm bullets?
The load data is highly questionable.
    Loaded ammo is almost nonexistent.

So my question is somewhat philosophical, should I just throw it in the safe and give up, or spend the time and money to bring a wartime treasure back to life? Will the reward be worth it?

i think you should throw it in the safe and wait to find some ammo first and save up a little at a time for the die set and anything else needed, but do what you want to do

Price out some 338 lapua brass, then some 378 weatherby brass (any), then some RUM brass (any), then suck it up and pay the $70 for that brass. Don't look back, and enjoy your treasure properly.

              Where are you at?
I've got dies and have been reloading for my nambu for years.
Huntingtons in Oroville have bullets in two different weights.
PM me and we'll get you set up.
