Replace press handle with torque wrench?

Does anyone do this? Would it be useful for anything? I found a torque wrench and adapter to make it fit my Lee challenger for about $30. Seems like it could help seat primers consistently or something.

If you are worried about seating primers hand seat them.

I saw a torque wrench being marketed for presses... they were trying to say if gives repeatable/measurable crimp settings... 5, 10, 15, 20, inch lbs or whatever.

When I used to load shotshells (a long time ago), I used a torque wrench as a handle to set my wad and crimp pressures, not sure it made any difference, but made my German side feel better...

Considering that some primer pockets are tighter than others you may actually hurt the process if you seat them to a certain pressure vice seating them untill the handle won't go any farther.

            Primers: no
Collet neck sizing: only if you are really anal.

You can honestly do it by feel much easier than twisting your neck to read the scale. If it's the type that clicks when you reach the right torque then you're OK.

just pay attention to pull the handle the same every time.
