Should I make a special load for first fireforming 308?

I've got 10 days until I pick up my Savage 10 Trophy Hunter XP 308 (22" 1:10).

I bought Lapua brass, and SMK 155gn Palma bullets (only $5 more per 500 than the regular SMK 155). I plan on using Varget, not sure what primers yet.

I want to just neck size as much as possible rather than full body size after the brass has been fireformed to my chamber.

Should I make a special load for my first session, or just work my loads up as normal to find what my rifle likes?

Nope! Just load them up however you would load normally. You might notice slightly less precise results but there's no way around that.
