    Need some 8mm info please...

    Hi guys,

I found a guy selling some 8mm and he cant tell me much about it. I assume it to be corrosive, but have no idea what the grain/quality/maker/etc is. I see you guys sherlock all kinds of stuff in here so... please let me know what the heck this is.

Also, is $3.00 a box ( 15ct) a good price for this stuff?

Its Yugo 8mm, typically the military does not stamp a bullet weight on labels but I am pretty sure its 196gr and highly corrosive.

This stuff shoots ok for me 3-4 inch group at 100yards. I'm paying $5.99 for a 15ct box down the street so thats not a bad price for my area.

You should consider ANY military surplus 8x57 as being corrosive.

Buy all that you can. You are not going to find it any cheaper, period.

All I can add is that the ammo was made in 1950 at what is now the Igman ammo factory (factory 11) in Konjic, Bosnia.

I think I cleaned him out, but I got it as Wild bill's in Elk Grove (awsome place by the way) while my buddy was picking up the M&P45, I got what I think is the last of it. But, I have known stuff to just get "found" there later.

If you guys are interested, I suggest you wait a few days for him to maybe dig some up and give him a call or stop by.

I got it at $3/box, it actually worked out to about half that price since I traded him some old beer signs and some crazy knives I found in my garage for a discount, so I walked out of there with this for pretty cheap...

I've shot that stuff... as long as you clean up right away, the corrosive nature it mute.
