WTH Walmart 223 Ammo through the Roof!

Went to a walmart out in palm springs today, and to my surprise they had american eagle .223 in stock on the shelf. I have boughten it before for 5.97 then 6.57 then 6.97. When it rang up, it was at 10.97! HOLLY HANNA! I told the cashier no thanks. Wow, Ammo shot up threw the roof. The person in the Sporting Good Section, they had just received the shipment and that was the new pricing for the ammo .

I was just at Turners and it was also at almost 10 per box in Pasadena. I did pick up PMC 223 fro 7.99.
Good thing i have an order in for XTAC from Palmetto for 7.19 and some PMC that i snagged fort the 6.49 price

:P Visited a gun show up here in Washington yesterday, American eagle 55gr @ $314.99 per 1000rds with atleast 100,000rds being displayed. I was surprised to see it was a private sellers table as well.

As I write this, I'm standing if front of the ammo case at the Tracy Walmart. The American Eagle 223 ammo is 10.97 a box but its different. The box says 50grn tipped varmint. That might be cause of the price difference. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

The Walmart in Mountain View has AE223 in stock and I got 5 box and it came to $59. A couple weeks ago I got for 5.97 a box.

The Winchester white box 45 230gr RN just went up to just shy of $40. Six months ago it was $33.

this makes me feel better i usually grab a few boxes when we do shopping at walmart. they have been out of stock for awhile. the wife told me i should buy some at the gun show today so i left with 1000 rds federal 5.56 for $280
