6mm Remington

Going to be working up some loads for my 2 new rifles in 6mm. One will be a dedicated Coyote Rifle and the Other for Deer. I hunt both lead and lead-free zones, so I have some work to do. If I put enough time into it, my plan is to have a lead and a lead-free load for each with minimal POI change.
I always have good luck with Hornady and Nosler bullets. So I chose 105gr A-max / 90gr E-tip for one rifle and 75gr V-max / 55gr BT lead free for the other.
The lengths are pretty close between the lead and lead free for each. I pick up one of the rifles this weekend.

I cant find any data for the 90gr E-tip in the 6mm. Its not on Noslers website. I put an email in to Nosler, so we'll see what they say.
I read somewhere that you can use the 90gr Lead bullet data, just use the mean of the min/max as the max for lead-free. Sounds reasonable. I could just start 2 grains less than the min for a lead bullet and work up from there.

Good luck with the lead free Nosler's. Accidently bought some lead free instead of the ballistic tips and spread went from .4" to 1.5". If I ever hunt in a lead free zone I will definitely have to find a different bullet.

I loaded up some of the 55gr NBT Lead free bullets for my Rem 788. Dont have a chrono but they are fast little suckers. With a 200yd zero, my holdover @ 400yds is only .7 Mils. Thats only 10" drop at 400yds. Haven't shot past that yet with this rifle.

Got some of the 105gr A-max's loaded up for my Rem 721 to try next.

How are your groups?

I don't load .243's but I have had little success with lead free in my 308 Win. I have tried a number of the Barnes 150gr-168gr and Nosler E-Tips 168gr and really can't get them to group very well. My best effort so far has been with 168gr Barnes TTSX at just over 1 MOA. As hunting rounds I am loading them to magazine length which means a substantial jump in my 700, I am assuming the big jump is the issue. 1 MOA is fine for my needs in the woods, just seem strange that I can't get the accuracy I enjoy with jacketed lead.
