I'll admit, up till this morning I'd never even heard of this cartridge.
Anyway, long story short. The family is doing a little clean up for a distant relative who unfortunately is aging and in the midst of serious health problems.
They called and asked if I wanted a Marlin Model 62 chambered in .256
Never one to say no to guns (especially free) I of course agreed right off the bat.
Doing research tonight I see folks have formed them from .357 brass.
I've done the .223 to 300 BLK cut and reform, so I'm assuming it's pretty straight forward to make .256 from a .357
Anyone have experience with this? Or own a Model 62?
I don't even know how to break this thing down to clean and examine.
(Also I have no clue as to it's condition...)
