Im in for 2 of 8lbs. of 844 if anybody is thinking of doing a group buy in Riverside area.

I tried TAC , it works pretty good and you cant beat the price. Out of win, tac , and varget . I liked TAC. I wasnt doing any precision shooting so keep that in mind.

definitely test with smaller samples before you buy bulk. metering is a consideration, type of shooting is another- but mostly make sure your gun likes it .

Turner's in Orange has Varget for 1lb >$22

TAC will give you sub MOA ammo all day long if you do everything else right, plenty good enough for all but the benchrest crowd.

The bottom line is all the powders perviously discussed are fine and if you only load the 223 and you dont load on a progerssive (ball/spher works the best on these) any of thoes powders can work for you, if you load other rifle cals and want a great basic powder for 223 thru 358win (not belted mag) you cant go wrong with Hodg BLC2 or it's pull down military counterpart wc846 @ $85 for 8 lbs.
