Question on casing length for M1 garand

I have an assortment of about 35 cases of 30-06 that I'm wanting to load for my Garand. I am very new to reloading. I measured them all to make sure they were under the 2.494 OAL. However they are not all uniform in length. A random sampling of 5 yielded the following lengths

    2.479
    2.481
    2.477
    2.480
    2.489

Obviously these are all under the OAL, but is the difference in length too great to set my bullet seater and expect them to all function in my M1? Or are they close enough to be ok?

Is that measurement before or after sizing? They will grow when you size them. But, as long as they are under the max, it will work fine. If your building match grade ammo, for a match grade gun, then trimming to the same lengths will help with consistance neck tension (amungst other factors.) The length of the case will have no impact on seating your bullet, its a matter of the case fitting in the chamber. Most not match chambers a quite a bit longer than even the max case length spec.
