What is the oldest ammo that you have fired?

I found a 25 round box of 9mm that I reloaded in 1973 at the tender age of 14 . I was a little anxious about using it but I went to the range today and every one of them went bang like they were supposed to. So, 35 years and still perfectly functional. What is the oldest stuff that you have fired?

I've shot 8mm Mauser ammo from the 1930's.
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.
Let my aim be true and my hand faster
than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I've shot 7.62 X 54 from WWII, 30-06 dated from the 30s and .45 ACP from the 30s. This was all shot up in the early 80s. I expected it would all be fine since military ammo is spec'd to store for a long time.

I recently came across 2 bricks of .22lr I bought in the late '70s, packed away in an ammo can and forgot about. I was surprised it worked fine, no misfires, and my Beretta 21A functioned fine. I really didn't think rimfire ammo would last much more than 10 years or so.

I recently shot some 6.5 Carcano from the year 1918. 5 of the 6 fired and one was a dud. Not bad for 90 year old ammo.

I've shot Lake City MAtch (.308) from the mid 60's and early 70's. A little dirtier than now but just as good.
I'm only smiling at you while you talk to me because it's hilarious that you really think I give a crap about you.

As I've gotten older I thought I was gaining patience, then I realized I simply don't give a crap.

I shot some original 43 Egyptian once that used paper patched bullets and black powder.

I'm fond of the '50s heavy ball for my 91/30. 1952.

'70s era should be no problem.

I shot a couple boxes of 1942 steel case 45 acp out of a full auto mac 10 a couple years back. At the time I was a peace officer and the stuff had to be destroyed...... Of course I had to volunteer

Back in the mid-80's when I was a teenager my great-grandfathers goose gun (Stevens 520, 12 ga) was handed down to me along with several boxes of assorted ammo. I don't know how old it was, but they were all paper shells not plastic.

I shot some old WWII 30-06 ammo. i think it was dated 1942 or 1944. It all shot fine but I cleaned the gun a little extra this time. this was a few months ago.

50 BMG from 1952. Picked it up at Seal Beach and opened the cans to find green encrusted ammo. Shot 800rds without a single problem. The M2HB just ate it up. Cant say the same for the current stuff made . . .
