    Assembling rcbs 2000 auto indexing

These instructions suck beans. How'd this get out like this? Got to step 5. Says "Slide the bottle cap down the end of the spent primer tube down to flared end & attach bottle to cap. Next slide on the return spring plate with the squared ssection pointed at the bullet tray as shown in photo 4 then slide on the spring. So, I tried to identify the spent primer tube and the bottle cap but they are not shown in the exploded parts diagram. There is an auto brake tube shown but it's part # 35 and it only identifys up to # 34. Picture #4 aint worth a hank. I see some stuff there but it don't make no sense. Can anyone help? If not I'll call rcbs in the am.

According to this manual from RCBS

on page 15, part 35 is the "spent primer tube". Page 14's diagram shows it pretty good to me.

Thanks Mark that was fast. I already figured it out though. I'll probably be referring to your link because I'm sure I"ll be baffeled again soon.

Well, those are better instructions than came with my 2000. Now, I'm missing the shell plate and the handle for the powder measure. See, i knew it wouldn't take long for something else to come up.

I see. Said the blind man. It is automatic, don't need a powder handle. It's coming along fine now. Waiting for the shell plates to come in now to see if I can make it work. Looks promising.

            It's not PTSD, it's nostalgia.
