Obamacare or not, we all should've been doing that ever since November 2008.

To be a true Liberal, you must be 100% pro-Second Amendment. Anything less is inconsistent with liberalism.

Components are a lot like gold, terrific inflation hedges.

While inflation has been muted in recent years, it isn't for the Fed not trying. You see, congress will never stop spending. The Fed knows this and also knows the only way out for us debt wise is robust inflation. As the dollar is devalued two things happen: commodities that are denominated in dollars (most of them) go up in price and debts that are denominated in dollars (all of ours), get smaller (by the way, this is just a slow default, as opposed to the fast kind going on in Europe right now).

So there you have it, the Fed will continue to work diligently on creating inflation, never bet against the Fed.

Oh, I almost forgot, why are reloading components better than gold? Two reasons, first you can shoot some of them and have fun. Two, if the Fed fails in getting inflation going, you will likely need those components for more serious matters.

Dude....why are you even asking? You should ALWAYS be buying components! You don't need an excuse or reason too...just stock up whatever you can, when you can.

              Muted

Not sure how you can think inflation is muted....do you still buy groceries?

I'm not a re loader but I'm beginning to think I should be, and so am I to assume components are still favorably priced compared to bulk ammo?

No, I am not talking about the kind of inflation you are pointing out, I am talking about core inflation and lots of it. Think Jimmy Carter days. The kind of inflation we have with gas and groceries won't fix the debt problems.

It's still very easy to reload pistol ammo for half of what it costs at Walmart. Not to mention that you're getting customized ammo that shoots better and cleaner than the Walmart stuff.

                    I Hear You

The reduced housing values puts that in the "deflationary" state. As I buy groceries my for wife and I the state of inflation seems relatively insignificant. I've seen others cry the sky is falling with inflation but I only notice is on a few individual items and its often negated by "specials" or simply changing items.

I was just curious if components for relaoding were hyped like ammo before an election or rising due to metal costs, or "as normal" as in the past?
