    Bulk .22 LR

Who has bulk .22LR for cheap (I know) But I'm looking to replenish my rim fire stock and haven't bought any in a while. I found a place that sells bulk Federal for $125 for 3300 rds shipped. is that a good price?

    Thanks guys!

Walmart has the federal 550 pack for 9.88 before tax. Including tax it still works out at less than 2 cents a round. Check them out.

Yeah go for Walmart if you buy 6 boxes of 550 rounds that will be $60 plus tax and 3300 total rounds. So I would say that deal your getting isn't so good.

The fed value packs from walmart are some of the best. Make sure it says "value pack" on it and not champion. The champions are a little underpowered and don't won't in some semi's.

Prices at Wally World have gone up the last week or so from $9.88 to about $11.97 or so.

                blfd1,
If you're going to Walmart, if you didn't already know, the 2 closest to you in San Jose don't sell ammunition. Mountain View and Gilroy do. I'm not sure about the Milpitas store.

Yep was at the chino hills walmart yesterday and was pretty when I saw the price increase. Sure it is like $2 but as stated above that is a heck of a % increase. Darn shame.

Is the CCI Blazer 22 stuff on sale at Turners pretty good? If so I may pick up some.

Well, I went to Gilroy Wallyworld and bought out the last they had...a box of Fed, one of Remington, and one of Winchester. They were $12.32, $11.54 and $11.97 (not in that order, the receipt doesn't show which price for which ammo)

I had a box of Remington Golden Bullets from Big 5 I bought a while back (probably late 2006) that the price tag said $19.99 I can't believe I paid that for .22. So I don't feel so bad about the current prices.

Oh well, I have about 3000 rds to keep me busy.

I've read a lot of good things about the Blazer stuff being pretty good for the price.

Have a Beretta 87 Target that is finicky when it come to ammo. It likes the Blazer. The only problem is that the Blazer doesn't have a copper jacket so the indoor I go to doesn't allow.

That is interesting because the value pack jams my r22 but champion functions flawlessly. Maybe the tolerances are looser?

I have a 87 target too and it will shoot 100% of the federal copper jacketed stuff.

no problems with either the blazer or the federal. shot around 1k of each in both a 10/22 and a marlin 60 the other day.
