Does anyone know what kind of surplus this is?

It is labeled 30 08 FNB. The overall length is 3.33, bullet diameter is .307-.308 depending on where I measure. The primer has purple sealant.

Probably 30-06.

30-06 Made by FN, non corrosive berdan primed, in the 1980's.

Some of the ammo labeled this way might be tracer ammo.

Thanks for the info everyone. I am confused as to why it is stamped 30 08. Why not 30 06?

Im thinking the "30" is for 30cal and the "08" is for the date for 2008. Im just guessing at this. I dont know for sure....

08 is for 1980, you might be reading it upside down
