pinching primers while using a dillon 650

Anyone ever encounter this. I have a 650. using cleaned resized brass in .223. CCI #41's. After lubing the cases, I go to seat the primers in the number 2 station. I seem to be pinching quite a few sides of the primers. I have slowed down and even ensure that the brass is in the proper position. The only thing that seems out of the ordinary is the primers seem to have to be forced in as if they are too big or the case is dirty and unlubed.

I deprimed then cleaned the cases. have tried dillon case lube and one shot. Anybody got thoughts on this ?????

That's my angle too. I'd try reaming/swaging the primer pockets if this is LC or otherwise once-upon-a-time crimped brass.

crimp still in/ also make sure the case "holder" thing is adjusted right. Aand the tool plate is clean sometimes grit gets into where the case rim goes and keep the case from full seating.

They most likely have a primer crimp. They have to be swagged with a swagging tool. Dillon sells a real good one. Also, some brass are not worth reloading. Google FC headstamp brass and you'll probably agree to stay away from this Federal brass.

I also have only had this issue with primer pocket crimps (even in crimped 9mm range brass).

I drill the crimp out now, in the future I will get a swagger.
