    How are you measuring the OAL? Because of the way bullet jackets are drawn, measuring the tip will vary about .020". Hornaday makes a bullet measuring tool that measures it down, about half way along the bullet length. That will get you within a couple of thousandth's....If you look inside a die, the bullet seater is going to shove the bullet the same distance into the brass. But if the bullet varies in length, so will the OAL.

      That makes sense, thanks for the information. I'm measuring with digital calipers only. I'll look into that Hornady tool.
