    Washing brass in my Kitchenaid

I am right now washing my brass in my Kitchenaid mixer, in a solution of hot water, soap, lemon juice, and vinegar. It's on slow speed and using the whisk attachment, so as not to risk damaging any brass. It's a little loud, so I wrapped it all in a beach towel. I pulled a shell out and it is looking great so far.

                My first thought!

Funny how they get when you bake painted motorcycle parts or dry brass in the oven. I don't get it...

OP the agitation isn't really necessary. I soak brass in a Homer bucket with Lemi Shine. After a half hour or so it's GTG. I do dump the whole lot from one bucket to another a few times tho.

I try not to contaminate my kitchen with lead. Once something goes from the kitchen to the reloading bench, there it stays.

I have no wife, so no problems there, and the results are spectacular. Perfectly new and shiny, inside and out. Success. Only ran it for maybe 15 minutes after a half hour soak.

Same here. Everything "reloading" stays outside away anything that has to do with food.

I just ran this by my wife... I was good right up to the point I mentioned using her mixer.
                              Predictable reaction...

good idea for a soaking solution. The bucket idea would be better, safer and more likely to not make me homeless.
