Change the color of your brass!

I tumble my brass with water and SS and this time with a washer inside the tumbler and it changed the 44mag brass to a shinny metallic rose color. Just need to figure out what to tumble it with to turn it bright blue or something so I can find it easier!

Some type of Oxidizer should work, but it would eat up/corrode the brass.

Brasso? Salt? Elements?

Machinist blue dye would work, but will wear off.

Birchwood-Cassy use to sell a product called brass black. I would change the color of brass hardware on the muzzleloaders very dark bluish black yet retain the polish. It will polish off evetually.

If he's using SS than I think it would be a rotating tumbler. Many threads about SS cleaning and not sure I want to start that yet. Heck, I just got my vibrating tumbler!

Stainless steel and water in a rock tumbler.

If you let them sit there after a tumble they will turn a smokey grey

take some copper wire and cut it the same length as your ss pins, it will be bright copper color!
