What is the differance in Federal 150 large pistol primers and 150M large pistol primers Match?

The 'M' for match is supposed to be more consistent and better potential for accuracy. Frankly I didn't see it. I've used 10000s of Fed 100 primers in my PPC and Bianchi revolvers to shoot 2" groups at 50 yards. Didn't get any better with 100M primers.
No better accuracy from 210M primers or less SD or ES from my 308Win match ammo with prep'ed brass (fire formed, trimmed, neck turned, primer pocket squared, flashhole deburred and weighed). I don't remember the numbers but I remember not much noticeable difference.
Maybe Bench Rest shooters whose guns and skills that shoot 1/8" groups could tell the difference but me and my 1/2moa rifles can't tell. Brass prep, measuring bullets and trickling every charge gets you better SD, ES and accuracy than primer selection in my experience.GCC

I have a pistol that constantly has light strikes, the GM150M has really cut down on the issue. The cup is supposed to be softer, also I have noticed that primer flow happens at even standard pressures.I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.Comment

The only reason I use the feds is for my 625 revo. Otherwise I use Winchester's. The local gunshop was out of the 150's so I had to settle for the match primers which were 5.00 more a case of 1000. I was out and have a match tomorrow. Poor planning on my part. Powder Valley here I come.Comment

It has been said that "match" primers are assembled by the most experienced primer makers in the factory and that makes them more consistent. Like others have said, I make good tack driving ammo without them but real precision bench rest shooters "can" tell the difference....Cowboy Action Shooter

IMO not dumb. In addition to taking up roughly twice the space the trays hold the primers sideways. Not the way I want to dump them into my primer tray. I'm not running any silly light springs in any of my guns so Winchesters are fine by me.
