I ran 200 rounds of long colt from BVAC through a Ruger "new" vaquero today-geat stuff! Cheaper than dirt had it in bulk boxes-$130 for 250 rounds, so I snagged two boxes.
Anybody else shoot this stuff? Has anyone run it through a chrony? This is a load I would really like to duplicate on the press.
It's a 255 gr lead rnfp bullet, but I can't get any reliable data on the muzzle velocity. The BVAC website says it's 780 fps, the cheaper than dirt ad says it's 960 fps, and when I called the factory to get the truth, the young lady I asked had to call me back and she said it wa 830 fps-and she didn't seem to fully understand the question to begin with so I'm not sure I got the right answer.
If anyone knows about this ammo, or if you're in the San Diego area and have a chronograph
....
TIA
