What am I missing, what is the difference between these two kits?

1st. "Lee Breech Lock Challenger Reloading Kit" 118$

    found here: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Shoot...3Bcat104516280

2nd. "50th Anniversary Breech Lock Challenger Reloading Kit" 109$

I'm new to this world, and I can't see a difference between the two. Anyone? Probably gonna buy one tonight, just not sure which, and no I can't afford a better kit.

the main thing I see is the type of priming tool
I will share my opinion and my load data, BUT I am just a guy with too many cigars and too many guns. Whatever I say is probably wrong.

The one that costs 10$ worth the extra money you think?

Looks like the only difference is the #1 kit comes with both the press mounting priming system and the hand priming system. Hand priming is a nice option, certainly worth the extra few bucks.

        #1 would be my choice.

the more expense one uses a hand priming tool while the cheaper one primes on the press.

I don't like priming on the press so I think it is worth $10

Ok thanks for the input guys! I'm nervous about pulling the "trigger" on a reloading press. Feel like I could spend the money on something more fun... but I suppose I won't regret it right?

It will be money well spent.
It will pay for itself quickly, and then you might start looking for a upgrade.
Both of thos are good starters, but the hand priming is a nice tool to have.

Sounds like the scale in those kits suck, wondering if I should even try to deal with them or just get a digital one?

you can get a good beam scale for a decent price,

if you want digital and for it to be any good you need to put out some money.
this thing was a total POS

                      in my opinion

the best thing to happen to reloading since smokeless powder

The #1 kit allows priming on or off the press (hand prime), both work fine. With the on press priming, you can get a cheap kit called the Safety Prime and it has a feeder to help automate the priming on press process.

The Lee scale that comes in the kit will weigh as accuartely as any other beam scale. It is just a pain to use. You need patience to use it well. A beam scale from Dillon (called The Eliminator) or from RCBS (505) is a terrific upgrade to your reloading, but is not something you absolutely have. If you stick with start to mid-load levels, the Lee scale will be fine for a year or so, until you get totally fed up with it.

Another question, the "Reloading 101" sticky talks about getting a case tumbler. I didn't see that included in the kit. If I want to re-use brass that I have been saving from my used M2 Ball, do I need a tumbler?

I got the anniversary kit and a frankford arsenal digital scale. I love it and don't mind priming on the press. I have a hand primer as well but still prime on the press when I flair the case.
You'll want a tumbler and a kinetic bullet puller as well. The tumbler for brass and the puller for the inevitable mistakes. Again, frankford arsenal makes reasonably priced options.
Getting from Cabela's now is a good idea since they have the $5 shipping. The Lee pacesetter die's are great as well. I have a set for my 7mm. Work like a champ and decent price.
Lots of options and opinions on here. I started out the way you appear to be going. Wouldn't have done it any different and have been completely satisfied with my Lee setup. Even though I have moved on to a Hornady LnL progressive for my pistol calibers, I still use the Lee press for my precision rifle bullets.

Thanks for the input clownpuncher! glad to know this overwhelming sensation of having too many questions is normal. Sometimes I just need something to do that involves "guns". And sometimes my guns are all clean, and I can't shoot, so I wanna reload!
