CFE223

Just bought a pile of CFE223 and I'm looking for anyone with proven recipe for 308 in 150gr A-max and 168 A-max. Looking at the load data from Hodgdon i'm thinking of starting at 50gr for the 150gr's and 47.5 for the 168gr loads.
24" barrel,1-10 twist,CCI #200 primers,

Where you at? I was looking to try some of that powder but it was sold out. is it comparable to any of their other powders besides the copper fowling cleaner?

I'm in Orange County, "Field Time" in Westminster is keeping up with demand.
From what i have read the CFE223 is a Tad slower than Varget so you use a little more, No problem,it's cheaper than Varget , it should be a wash.
Guys at the range with a 22-250 are getting great results, They also say it's smaller size meters better.

Load Data for CFE223 was very hot

Hodgdon showed 49.5 grs. as start load for 155gr, this was way too hot.
It shot flat but sticky extraction and flattened primers were signs there off by a bit. I will start back down at 45 and work my way up, should of done this from the beginning.
In my 556 though 25 grs of the CFE was very accurate.
The best part of CFE is the small flake dispenses awesome.
