    Availability of .32 Remington

My brother just inherited a very nice Remington model 8 in very good condition. Some sites are Stating this has been out of production since the late 60's. Sure would like to find some! Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you for your time.

I have 20 rounds of rem-umc 32 rem in an old western box - no idea how that came about --
If you live near me we can probably make a deal of some sort.--
32 rem is fairly easy to make from 30rem brass - which is sort of still available.
It can also be made from 30/30,32spl,38-55 brass, but that does require some lathe work.

      Here you go:http://www.buffaloarms.com/Detail.as...57994&CAT=4445

If you want to do a bit more shooting, it would be good to reload for it. You can use 30 Remington brass (just run it through the 32 Rem. sizer with a tapered neck expander).

30 Remington brass can be found. Just takes a bit of looking. There is loading data on the net for it.

Not cheap, but Old West Scrounger has it.

According to Cartridges of the world, the 32 Remington was a rimless version of the 32 Winchester Special. At the printing of the Cartridges of the world, which is the 6th edition published in 1989, the 32 Remington was an "obsolete" cartridge.

The Remington mod 8 was manufactured until 1936 I believe. I have no idea when the ammo became unavailable.

Yikes! But heck, once you've gotten past this part, 100 pieces of brass should last pretty much forever. It's not exactly a high-intensity cartridge. About all you will have to do is watch the case length, like the .30-30. Trim them when they grow a bit. Don't try to hot rod it. Stay within it's limitations and you'll have a shooter the rest of your life.
