HAZMAT is $40, so $80 delivered. Might as well buy them at Sportsman's Warehouse.
Always looking for vintage Winchester and Marlin lever action rifles. Looking to sell? Know of one for sale? Drop me a line!

Do you know what is the limit for one hazmat fee? If I recall correctly, in the past you could get 4 cases (20K) for a single hazmat fee. With shipping, that would work out to 4.2 - 4.3 cents per primer.

Hazmat limit is typically 50lbs so around 50,000 primers on one hazmat tag.

That would make it much better, but the local vendors have have those primers for about the same price.

I'm starting to see Magtech primers showing up all over the place locally, for a lot less than the "premium" brands. A vendor at the last gun show had all the flavors, including LR.

I grabbed 2000 Magtech SPP today.......$49.99 per thousand. I also believe primer prices are slowly coming down. That's why I only bought 2000. BTW the hazmat fee wasn't too bad......$20. got that stuff from Brownells

When you could get primers for 2.5 cents, I think it was partially due to the Russians keeping the price down by selling them at very low prices. Looks like other foreign manufactures have taken clue from what the Russians had done.

Just what does the hazmat fee pay for? Are these packages actually treated any differently by FedEx or UPS?

That was long long ago. I do not remember what primers were when I started reloading in 1963. If I recall correctly, in 2015 they were $20 to $25/thousand.

Oh, yes, I remember that. You could get primers for $15/1000 if you shopped even somewhat carefully. And those Russian primers do work well. This was, obviously, the pre-Putin days.
