    Lee turret handle

Currently running the 4 hole turret with the knob and don’t care for how it feels in the palm of my hand. Is the roller handle worth getting?

I don't have the roller handle, but given how I handle my knob, I don't think the roller handle would do me any favors.

First, I lubed the knob with some BLO when I first got the machine. Over the years my knob has become nice and smooth. Next, I grip my knob kind of from the side. That is I don't grab my knob from the tip, I grip around the side of the knob and a bit of the shaft with my thumb up over the tip of the knob. This way instead of having my nice smooth knob ride in the palm of my hand, it's really riding on a couple of fingers and the pad of my thumb.

I'm hoping to yank my knob quite a bit tomorrow, I'll let you know if anything interesting comes of it.

      I had both:
      - The ball hurt your palm but it won't turn sideway.
      - The roll go easy on your palm but after use for a while it will turn sideway.
For me I like the roll and readjust it every 200 rounds.

Have your SO (that's significant other, not Sheriff's Office. Sometimes you gotta 'splain things) handle your knob. It may lead to mutual satisfaction.

I drilled and tapped a billiard ball. I like big knobs and I cannot lie.

This thread reminds me of the first version of the Classic Turret Press video series that I made some years ago. I was going on about how beefy the press is, and I actually said, "Look at the size of the ram!" Did not realize what I had done until my cameralady later explained it. Oops.... :-) The result was a re-do of the video series.

And as for the original post...the roller handle might actually help you. It's not expensive, so it's worth a try.

I prefer a roller handle myself but I had a similar problem on one of my presses. As a short term solution, I put a small micro fiber towel over the ball and secured it with a heavy rubber band. It worked as a mini slip cover and moved just enough to be comfortable in the palm but still allowed me to feel the press (if that makes sense).
