    Sorting new 6mm ARC brass

I'm very impressed with the Starline brass consistency.

Two 50 round bags of Starline brass.

Trimmed and flash hole uniformed, the weight distribution of 102 cases was 108.6 to 109.6 grains. (1 grain ES)

    At a central point of 109.1 - 45 cases were +/-0.1 grains

    At a central point of 109.2 - 73 cases were +/-0.2 grains

    At a central point of 109.2 - 91 cases were +/-0.3 grains

    Winchester 243 brass for comparison:

Winchester 243 brass. trimmed and flash holes uniformed. There was no way to separate these in 0.1 increments because of the large spread in weights.

100 cases - spread from 155.5 grains to 159 grains. (4.5 grain extreme spread)

    At a mid-point of 157.5 grains there were 58 cases within +/- 0.5 grains

    At a mid-point of 157 grains there were 78 cases within +/- 1.0 grains.

      I like Starline brass.

I love getting an extra case in the bag!

But....The OCD in me drives me crazy. Cause now I have a odd number of cases.
