Dillon RL550C Conversion/Die for .300 Savage

Hello.

I was wondering if someone can help me... I'm going to order an RL550C to reload .300 Savage (at first), but I'm confused about the die & conversion kit options... Dillon offers a conversion kit for .300 savage, but I don't see a Die offering. Is there a die for another caliber that works? What exactly is the conversion kit?

Conversion kit is the shellplate, buttons and powder funnel.
You may want to get familiar with the charts that show what specific parts makeup a conversion kit as you may already have a shellplate and buttons that works and you might only need a powder funnel.

If you do not have any of the conversion parts on hand already, then get the complete conversion kit.
You can use almost any brand of 300 savage dies as long as they are 7/8-14 thread.
You can not use any other caliber of dies to reload 300 savage.
You need dies specifically for 300 savage.
If you buy lee or hornady dies that are too short, you have to put the lock nut on the underside of the toolhead for them to work.
I recommend RCBS or Redding as those are both long enough to put the lock nut on the top like normal.
