My son in another state just bought a Benelli R1 n 30-36. If any of you have one, What factory ammo does it prefer. As my son lives in another state I cannot work up a load for him and he does not reload. Go figure, My kid does not reload. Where did I go wrong? I have told him he needs to shoot in a new barrel. Anything that may help him out as he is deer hunting in November.

It shouldn’t care about the what ammo. The gun isn’t the most accurate. -
It should still shoot "minute of deer". BTW, each gun, even within the same model, is a bit different. One Rem 700 may like Hornady Superformance, another R700 might like Federal Gold Match, and so on. It'll be the same with the Benelli R1.
