    Opinions and observations

I'm looking at the G2 R.I.P. rounds. Interesting but I'm wondering about the fast velocity for a given weight for caliber. Would they "shred" in the barrel?

I am betting that like myself, most people have no idea what you are speaking of.
In order to get better responses, first post full names of the item so people can search it and better yet, post links for those of us who simply don't care enough to go search for your acronyms.

I hope this clarifies things. The acronym was created by the manufacturer, not me.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...0Xu6epeTmlVL3p

Lemme guess, you want something cool looking or some "wow" factor instead of HP self defense rounds with a known track record. Probably has weird petals, pointy spikes, or machined scallops, right?

Well, just wondering if someone has tried them. I've seen YouTube reviews but want to see if anyone on CG has had experience with them accuracy wise. I don't remember seeing that on them (I'm guessing about 25 yards would be the maximum).

I don't think they "shred" in the barrel or come apart in the air. I have no experience with these but they are a non-lead copper bullet designed to come apart on impact. They are designed as self defense loads. Looks pretty gimmicky to me. When it comes apart it seems to me each petal would weigh somewhere around 5grs......wow, that's like a .177 pellet, impressive.

Looks like it would make a good ground squirrel load, although I just use a .177 pellet rifle for those.

Thanks for the insight without getting snobby. I was thinking much the same thing. I was thinking the "shredding" would be a result of high velocity vs. rate of twist in a barrel. The fragments in the demonstration to me run contrary to what's desired from conventional projectiles (what's left of it).
