    Lee bullet feed issues

I can load the bullets in the case by hand and it works fine. But when I use my lee auto bullet feeder on my lee 1000 this happeneds

Any idea on what to do? Anyone else have this happen?

Looks like it is not going in straight into the seating die. The seating die should straighten the bullet out and then seat it properly.

Not sure, maybe someone else can chime in.

      Try a little more bell.

Bell the case mouth more so the base of the bullet won't catch on the case mouth.

Sounds like he has enough belling because hand-seating them produces good results. Maybe the bullet feeder's just a little off position.

It turns out, though, that the bullet feeder's not necessary on a Pro 1000 to get good speed. I typically get 350-375 rounds every hour, seating bullets with my left hand right as the ram hits bottom. Basically, you grab a bullet with your left hand as you're lowering the handle and bringing it close to where the charged case will be when you finish raising the handle. Since you're hand's now in position, you just pop the bullet on there and continue with the next pull. Works every time.

To be a true Liberal, you must be 100% pro-Second Amendment. Anything less is inconsistent with liberalism.

This is true. Ditching the bullet feeder also gives you the ability to easily verify that there is powder in the case.

If you are 100% positive that the BF is causing the issue then it could be off or not enough bell.

But if you're seating and crimping in the same step my money is on too much crimp. Too much crimp using a seating/crimping die will do this every time. Back off the crimp and see if it helps.
