Pulled powder or new powder?

It may be helpful to do some back-of-the-envelope figuring to see just how much money might be saved by using pulldown powder. A quick and dirty Google search found 8 lbs of pulldown WC820 for $100, and 8 lbs of H4895 at Midway for $168. Ignoring the fact that these powders are not interchangeable, assuming 23 grains of powder per cartridge gives 2434 cartridges per 8 pound jug.

So the cost per cartridge for pulldown powder is 4.1 cents, and 6.7 cents for the premium powder--a savings of 2.6 cents per cartridge.

That's not enough of a savings to make pulldown powder attractive to me. YMMV.

My chart does have pulled powder and bullets in the mix as well.

4.1 cents as opposed to 6.7 cents.. when thinking in lots of 1000 rounds, that's a difference of $26.. or 2-3 more pounds of surplus powder..
