    Ginex LR primers

    Hello neighbors,

Has anyone used Ginex large rifle primers? Are they any good?

Is there anyone in the Sacramento area that would be willing to sell me 50 to 100 for chronograph testing?

Thanks in advance. I appreciate it.

They are fine, they go boom.

They are a PIA to seat flush in many cases unless you really crank down hard, deforming some, but they still work. I think they are the same as 7.62 NATO primers.

I shot them in two rifles at Nationals back in November, they work fine and didn't change my sd at all.

I have a batch of Ginex SRP from close to 2 years ago. They take a *lot* of force to seat in Lapua brass (often enough to cause the seating plug to mark the primer.)

I thought I had heard that they changed their specs on diameter, but only heard that once, and on-going comments don't seem to support that.

            No experience with their LRP.

Yeah they are a bit on the large side and can be a little difficult to fully seat. but other than that they work just fine. I wish I could find more.
