SAN DIEGO RELOADERS ROLL CALL...

I would like to start a thread for the reloaders that live in San Diego to check in at.

It seems like we've gotten a bunch of new San Diego reloaders recently and thought it would be nice to have a thread so we all know who each other is.

This thread may also help if someone breaks a piece of equipment and needs to bum a part until theirs is delivered.

Or if some needs hands on assistance for a particular problem.

Maybe posting local reloading stores and what they carry, etc...

Anyways, I'll start...


I reload 9, 380, 45, 223, 8mm, 38spl, and 357 and I'm in La Mesa.

I'm Trevor and I'm in Ramona. I'm not a reloader yet, but have every intention to start soon. I inherited a bunch of stuff and am working on picking up the rest of what I need over the next month. Got a book and started reading, as well as checking out Youtube. I know I am going to have a bunch of newbie questions.

I want to reload 44 mag, 45 Colt, 308, and 50 beowulf to start.

I'm at the north end of downtown. I'm new to San Diego I moved here at the end of Feb.

I'm happy to help any new reloaders or if anyone has questions. I have a Dillon xl650 and I reload 30-06, 30carbine, 45acp, 9mm, 223, and soon 308.

I'm Ryan and reload in Ramona, currently I only reload .45 and am still quite new to the hobby. I'm planning to shoot a lot for IDPA this year so I need to ramp things up!

I'm in PQ and I'm just getting started. I have the Lee Breech Lock Challenger Kit sitting in the box waiting to be set up. (Need to make some room for another workbench.) My tumbler & media are in the mail.

I'm signed up for a reloading class on Sat. the 19th at La Mesa Collectibles. It's $50 for the class if any of the other newbies want to sign up.

I'll be reloading .308, .223, .380, .40 and possibly 7.62x54R.

Okay, I'll play.

Mike from Lakeside. Been reloading since the late 70's and STILL enjoy it. No, I'm not an expert, but load for mostly 9mm, 38, 40, 45acp plus 410, 28, 20, 16 and 12 gauges. I have loaded rifle, but not since the late 80's.

I travel to many of the gun shops around town and know most of the places that have loading product, which isn't very many. La Mesa Collectibles has the most in stock in the San Diego area.

This Forum is a good source for information as are others. The Smith & Wesson Forum has some of the sharpest folks that I have yet run into on any Forum.

I run four Dillon SDB's and 5 MEC 650's. Love to load just as much as I love to shoot. They go hand in hand and do nothing but enhance each other for the experience. I do have some spare parts for all of the above loaders by the way and also have a good friend that refurbs many of the shotshell loaders (mostly MEC) and has some for sale quite often.

Been shooting at the SDPD Range since the mid 70's and still go most Saturday mornings. I am also obviously an avid shotgun shooter in all of the clay games, but really enjoy skeet.

Jim from Ramona. I reload Pistol, Rifle and, Shotgun. Started reloading with my Dad when I was somewhere between 8 and 10. I'm 60 now. I shot Service Rifle and Service Pistol Competion for many years. Now, my whole family shoots IDPA and an occasional USPSA Steel match.

I load most of my rifle on a single stage RCBS RockChucker, my pistol on a LNL AP and, my shotgun on MEC 9000's. Also have Dillon SDB.

Steve here....reside in La Mesa. Just starting out with the Lee Loaders. I'm loadling 9mm, 38spl, and 223. I got the Lee Loaders since I have little space and don't plan to mass produce anything. I try to make 20-50 rounds a sitting. I wish I'd started doing this years ago! I'm already thinking about a Lee breech lock kit though. I have a lot of idle time at work so the Lee loaders are easy to bring to work and de-prime brass, size, and prime it.

Reloading at work, I wish I could do that. I'm a high school teacher, so I'd probably end up on the news with hand cuffs on if I tried that.

Another reloader from Ramona! Loading 9mm and 45ACP with a Hornady LNL AP. I retired the Lee Turret, but still have the Lee Breech Lock set up for sizing or other tasks.

Fishslayer is also up here in the Valley of the Sun.
