I've been meaning to set up a single stage on my new bench for some time and finally got around to doing it today. For those that have never loaded on a press mounted to a strong mount, it's pretty amazing. The mount is brilliantly engineered to redirect all pressure into the bench. It gives the reloader the feeling that the press is part of the bench. In addition it raises the press to a more comfortable level and allows for the use of drawers in front of the press.
I started by picking up a scrap piece of aluminum from my local metal supply shop.

Sanded the edges and drilled some holes to attach it to the strong mount.

I sprayed it with some black textured paint from HD.

The finished product.

Up close. The Rock Chucker is a beast of a press.

I purposely made it wider than it needed to be because I want the option to use it for other presses in the future. Plus I'm going to be mounting hardware besides the press to hold bins for bullets and cases.
