    Match Brass ???

Ok a friend gave me a box of 30.06 brass. Apparently after googling the headstamps most of it is FA (Frankford) and LC (Lake City) but along with the date it is stamped MATCH. Anyone familiar with this? Can I just prep load and go or are there peculiarities?

I have a stock of Frankford .308 Match brass. Haven't had any issues with it. I feed it to my M1A and 308 M1. Standard match prep.

I like this brass and 155 Palma bullets for M1 loads. It shoots them really well to 600 yards (shoots straighter than I can!).

They will likely weigh more than commercial 30/06 and have a little less internal volume. If they do weigh more, you will need to adjust your powder charge down a couple of grains.

The old 30/06 Match brass is good brass. No PP crimp to remove.
