    Russian or Bulgarian

    I just purchased a few Mosin's.

Looking at bulk ammo and found some what seems like a pretty decent deal.

880 rds for $145 or so. I can choose either Russian or Bulgarian made.

Do you think there is much of a difference. both are the same price.

Basically the same thing - both steel bullets.

There is no lead in that bullet by the way. Copper washed steel jacket over a steel core. So, you need to make sure that steel is ok where you plan to shoot before you buy. Otherwise, you'll need to find the lead core Yugoslavian ammo. It's a bit more pricey, but it is range-safe.

From my experience, the Russian tends to be a little better made. Instead of weird copies of soviet factories, they have the REAL soviet factories :3

        Umm...you sure that's a good thing? LOL

Papa J, either one's fine. I go for the cheapest milsurp, and that seems most of the time to be the Soviet (aka Russian) ammo.
