That's why people really need to reload if they plan on being a 'serious' shooter.

At $1 per round, a High Power competitor is going to pay a minimum of $50 per match in ammo (50 round aggregate) to $88 (assuming the typical 88 round agg). Add match fees of around $20-$40 plus gas and you're hovering to $150 per match.

I think I quit shooting the first time around in the 90's because of ammo cost and my financial situ back then. My new years resolution last year was to get into reloading...It's worth it if you can put off a couple of gun buys and invest into it.

Reloading

I just picked up 2,000 rds of military first fire brass at the range for 50.00. When it was 15.00 a thousand I couldn't be botheredYou snooze you loose Have been thinking about picking up more to process. Then I will see what I can get for them if there ready for loading. The processing takes time . Clean, decap and size, then swedge and trim. They should be worth well over a 100.00 a thousand

Ouch. The prices have steadily increased over the past few years, and I don't see any relief for us anytime soon. If you don't reload, now is a good time to start.
