    $ quote for spent brass

    I've been saving my spent brass the past couple range trips and I would like to offer them on the market place but I have no idea what to ask for them. Any help with price break downs would be appreciated.

    I have 9mm and .40(mostly federal and winchester) 500 and 300 casiings respectively

    .223/5.56 (mil surp and american eagle) right around 200casings

      Last time I looked.....

      9mm brass - $30 per 1000
      223/5.56 - $60 per 1000

      Haven't bought brass in ages, so not sure what the current value is.

        I've been selling 9mm for $25/k and .40 for $30/k and everyone seems happy. 9mm weighs 9#per thousand and .40 10# -- .223 is 13# as I recall.

                  When I get overloaded with brass I sell 9mm and 40cal for $25.00 per 1000 tumbled.
