RCBS combo powder measure

Id like to hear from users...I just may be lazy, but I want to get one, and need to justify the $$$ -- currently, I drop a light charge and trickle it up to the proper weight. The thought of having it done while I seat the previous round is wonderful, but again, am I just being lazy? Does it really help $300 worth?

It's worth it to me. I bought it when RCBS was offering the $50 rebate last year. Looks like they're offering the rebate again.

I use the uniflow powder measure and it's definitely worth the price; way less than $300. If I was a bench rest shooter or anal about consistency, it might be worth it. For shooting my pistols and my deer loads, I can buy a lot of components for the difference.

He is talking about the chargemaster. Its good if you reload for precision, but not for pistols or plinking. A powder dropper will serve you there better.

I have the RCBS and I love it! No more fiddling with the powder measure and making minute adjustments, just dial and press a button. It is great if you are working up loads and want to increase in half grain or even tenth of a grain increments. Plus you can get a pretty good rhythm going where when you have seated a bullet the next powder charge is ready.

I don't own a Chargemaster but I sure would like one.

With large extruded powders, I drop and then trickle up, the Chargemaster would make the whole process dreamy.

+1 Excellent for precision and/or extruded powders. I find I'm waiting for it to finish dropping the next load with spherical powders. I think I can drop a tray full, double check with a strong light, and seat bullets faster with a powder dropper once it's dialed in.

I got mine from natchez for $280 - 50 rebate last year. I absolutely love it. Usually charge 50 cases at a timewhile watching tv, then go seat all of them after. Speed wise it isnt any faster than manually doing it, but much easier.

it runs a lot smoother/faster with upgraded settings and the straw trick.
