    Who wants Bear Creek Bullets?

Ok, I've got too much time on my hand, so I'm planning on making the drive out to them once a week if I get enough orders.

Here's the deal....Prices are on the 2011 Retail List, in which I was told, will be going slightly up this month. So whatever your order is, plus sales tax.

Each run will be limited to around 250lbs since I'm driving a small car.

So what do you guys think?

Depends on where in SF Bay Area. Do you have a link for the price list?

Hmm, I get the 158 swc in .38 from a LGS for the same price. I wonder why they sell the primers for $39 or $49/k (who the hell pays that much?). Thanks for the price list.

Last I heard Tabor's in San Bruno used to have a pretty nice selection of Bear Creek for about the same price as in the pdf list you provided. I started getting my stuff from Missouri and Penn Bullets due to convenience.
Irvington arms in Fremont also used to carry the Bear Creeks...

I've been in both Irvington and Tabors in the last few days, and Irvington has the same prices as the list, for what I was looking at, .45 230gr RN and 125gr RN for 9mm. Tabors does have a better selection, but the 230gr was $64! Seems to me that Bear Creek has the winning combination of price and selection. lpspinner, I'm gonna PM you.

I'm thinking about going out maybe next thursday. Depends on if I get enough orders. I figure I can call him on Tuesday or Wednesday to confirm the order and make sure everything is in stock.

@gigante...Yea, I walked in to Tabors the other day and had to do a double take on the price he's currently charging for the .45 230gr.

My lgs has them for a few dollars cheaper then what I can buy directly from him because I think they buy 50 at a time and get the 10% discount. I still end up buying direct from bear creek though because my lgs rarely has the bullets that I want and shipping is free for orders over $110.

I found a guy in las vegas that has a pretty good selection that is also willing to ship. Depending on demand he will start stocking a larger variety also. If interested here is the site. www.extremeventuresnv.com

I just ordered directly from Bear Creek today. Free shipping on orders over $110. I ordered 230gr 45 and 158gr 38. Both in stock and shipping on Monday. Much better prices than my LGS.

lpspinner, Do you know how fast these bullets can be pushed? (.38-158SWC - if you need a specific bullet)

I have pushed them to 1200 fps with no leading. Usually the cause of leading is by using too much fast burning powder, which melts the base of the bullet. If you drive them fast, use a slower burning powder to get better results. My rule of thumb is if I want to got over 1200 fps, I use a jacketed bullet. Most of my loads using Bear Creek Bullets are in the 700 to 900 fps range. There is never in leading issues in this velocity range.

I ordered from Jerry of Extreme Adventures yesterday, will be getting a shipment this week. Indicated that he'd be more than willing to carry more Bear Creek Bullets, based on what folks buy. He just received some of the best sellers from BC as a first shipment to try out. I put my word in for 200grain SWC's. His prices are good, no shipping and no sales tax. It's good to have more options. If more of you send him an email indicating what type bullets you're likely to buy, and how many & how often, I'm pretty sure he'll try and put an order in for them.
