Prob a stupid question but.....
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.Tags: None -
No difference they are interchangable. If you do not know the answer then the question is never stupid.A 30cal will reach out and touch them. A 50cal will kick their butt.

.308 has a slightly shorter chamber.
.308 is rated for higher pressure. (62,000 PSI for .308 versus 58,000 for 7.62x51 NATO)
You can shoot 7.62x51 ammo in a .308 rifle.
You should not shoot commercial .308 in a 7.62x51mm rifle because it may exceed the pressure rating of the chamber.Last edited by NotEnufGarage; 04-09-2012, 1:11 PM.sigpic
