Load data for Horndady 75gr BTHP with Reloder 15

I have a Lyman manual but it only lists for the A-Max. Does anyone with a Hornady book have a starting load and OAL for this bullet using Reloder 15 and Varget?

    Bullets:

    Gun is an AR15 26" w/1-8twist
    Thanks!

Alliant publishes starting loads on their website for a Sierra 77gr HPBT at 24.1gr of Reloader 15.

They don't have load data for the Hornady 75gr A-Max with Reloader 15.

I'd start with a little under the 77gr data and work up from there.

Hodgdon recommends 22.5gr of Varget as the starting charge for 75gr JLK VLD bullet with the COL: 2.250"

Isn't the Hornady Match bullet a copy of the JLK VLD bullet?

Max length is 2.26...you need to set them at 2.255 or 2.250. Don't push the max length it won't help you

First reloads and the book says 2.26. I checked them in the mag and they fit fine. Maybe I will try 2.259 on the next ones.

                  Out of a 20" 1:7" .223 Wylde, I use 24.0gr RL15 for a 75gr BTHP Hornady with an LC case.

23.5 out of my Savage 24" 1x9. I have pushed it to 24.5 with no accuracy change & minimal velocity gain but just starting to show pressure signs on the primer.

Varget is a bit less accurate but better on the pressure on max loads.

Do you have 100 yrd targets for this load? Those groups are great!
