    Setting up new bench

New to reloading and have just finished my bench. Getting ready to mount press and other goodies and am looking for suggestions, tips and/or tricks or valuable lessons learned that you old-timers may have on setting up and placement on the bench.

Maybe it's just time to bolt the thing down and get going, but I thought I'd ask.

Bench is 2' deep x 6' wide. Have a new Rock Chucker to get started with.

    Mucho gusto!

Looks great! I'm going to have to steal your pegboard idea for my next one. My personal pref's are a goose neck single LED light to shine in the cartridge after charging and means of disposal for freshly removed primers. The carpet is going to be a PITA when you dump powder in it. My carpet should have blown up long ago!

Very nice! Just make sure you don't mount your press in a position such that it prevents you from opening a drawer. I made that mistake and just decided to live with it.

I agree, IKEA sells a perfect LED lamp on top of a flexible neck (comes in like Red, Silver, Black, etc.) for $10, I bought 2 a long time ago, never opened the second box.

Looks nice! Take another picture when you have everything mounted.

Seeing a new reloading setup in the works always makes me smile.

Nice. I just bought some lumber for my bench and hopefully I'll have time this weekend.

Nice looking bench. You might consider mounting your press on some type of interchangeable mount, for when you get your next press

I'm thinking that very thing - just have not found the interchangeable mount yet. Anyone found / using something like this that you like?

Can see where that would be a handy item to have - I'm on it!

Looks like you can work with wood, how are you with steel? I made risers for all of my loaders, sort of like the strong mounts, as a base used a 8x12 plate with identical hole patterns. Put 4 t-nuts through the bench top (from the bottom) and 4 thumb screws to mount the plate down.

Liking that idea. I'm looking around for some steel plate.
