    Berry's 10mm

Are plated bullets ok for hot 10mm loads in a factory Glock barrel or do I need to use jacketed bullets?

Probably need jacketed bullets, i cant remember but i think berrys arent supposed to be pushed past 1200 fps. I definatley dont use plated bullets for .357 magnum

You really need jacketed bullets for 10mm velocities. Wideners has IMI 180gr FMJ's for less than $110 per K, which is cheaper than Berrys anyway. I use Zero 180gr JHP's, and I only paid $120 per K for those. Precision Delta also has good prices on 180gr FMJ's.

A couple guys from the 10mm Reloading Forum (Glocktalk) posted that they experienced plate/jacket separation with Berry's bullets between 1000-1100fps in some cases. Unless you have a bunch already, buy jacketed. If you do have some, keep them at .40 speeds.

I have had bad luck with Berrys bullets in 9mm. The OAL & weight varied alot, and accuracy was terrible for me throughout load development.

My experience exactly, although I have pushed them far higher than 1100 without any plating separation.

You can buy Precision Delta jacketed for about what Berry's cost, much better bullet.

I'm going to +1 the Precision Delta bullets. I got 1000 shipped for $120. I couldn't find a better deal even including Berry's plated bullets.

Xtreme bullets (also plated) are good to 1500 fps easily. I use it in .44 mag

I had bad luck with loading Berry's .401 155gr HBRN in 10mm. Nothing ridiculously hot. ~10gr Blue Dot. As someone else mentioned, they were terrible for accuracy. I experience some separation when I observed two impact points on my target on multiple occasions. I extracted what I had left and went back to XTPs. Berry's would probably fair better loaded in 40 only.

+1 on the Xtreme Bullets, according to them, they're good for velocities under 1500fps.

But if you want FMJ's, I'm a big fan of the bullets from Zero.
