    7.62x39 green tip - What is it?

    Anyone know what green tipped, non- magnetic, 7.62x39 is?

    The only ones I've seen are the wooden bullet 7.62x39 rounds. Their bullets are painted green.

      Not wood and onlt the top 1/2 of the bullet is painted green.

          I seem to remember "Green" being "Commie" for tracer, but I have nothing to support this except recovered memory. If the tip is green plastic, it would be a .30 cal Nosler Ballistic tip.

                AAARRRGGGGG......... my book on the history of the AK-47 has all the different rounds and their colors listed for the Com blok ammo.. but it is buried in the garage

                    Tracer or otherwise pyrotechnic is what I'm afraid of. BTW, these are not mine! Someone came in the shop I work at and surrendered a 75 round and a 100 round AK drum that had these inside.
