    turners primer sale

I got a email today of a off the hook one day sale at turners for cci pistol primers for $ 2.79 . I called the store they had none in stock called another store all out called a third store had some but not a whole brick.I asked the store employee about this he said they do not notify the stores in advance of up coming sales so they are unable to order and additional stock is it me or is this a strange way to do business . WTF turners

Was the e-mail from Turner's? If not, you might have been the victim of an e-mail hoax. It's been known to happen. But Bigfoot is real.

It was their weekly deal. Not sure why some stores wouldn't have a bunch. Normally their off the hook specials are to deplete their inventory. Seems odd they would have a huge special and not have any in stock.

I don't get their emails but I hear about their off the hook's on Facebook. That's dumb of them not to notify the stores about the upcoming deal haha. I did get some 00 buck from a off the hook special and they had plenty.

They never have primers in stock when they have their "off the hook" specials. I always thought people showed up when the store opened and cleaned them out.

Get used to it when it comes to their primers and rounds sales.

Unless someone is grabbing it all when the store opens or you can get a rain check, sounds like bait and switch.

$27.90 per thousand plus tax is hardly a 'sale'

Are you getting CCI primers to your house or in your hands at a lower price from somewhere else in SoCal? Presuming that the normal Powder Valley shipping cost is $11 on top of the $27.50 hazmat fee, it requires an order of 9000 CCI primers to start paying a lower price than the $30.34 total per 1000 based on 8.75% sales tax.

Yes, you'll save more if you add powder to that on-line order, but that's not apples to apples.

The Kearny Mesa store actually gave a coworker a raincheck, even though the ad clearly states otherwise, go figure. I went to the San Marcos store when they opened, and the guy told me somebody cleaned them out of their CCI primers the night before at the regular price. Wouldn't talk about raincheck either.

Yes, I buy from a local competitive shooter who supplies bullets, primers and powder in bulk. I'm already at the range shooting the USPSA match, so I just load the stuff right into my truck.

Any way we could get hooked up with this 'local competitive shooter' in the San Diego area???
