    Question about C.O.L.

Newbie question...I have a lever action 30.30. If i set the C.O.L on a 150GR bullet to what the hornady book says, which is 2.55", my rounds are too long to feed from the magazine to the chamber. They start moving forward before they clear the bottom of the ramp causing them to wedge. I just measured some factory remington 150GR ammo and got 2.50".
Can I seat the bullet deaper until it loads correctly without creating dangerous pressures? I am on the low end of the powder charge range.

Just use the start load and seat them where they need to be seated. As you move up in charge, watch for pressure signs.

What bullet are you using? Remember to not use pointed bullets in tube fed magazines.
