    Bullet question for 308.

Quick question for people out there, I load 168GR Amax for my 308, if I pull the bullet out and reload with a different powder charge does this affect the accuracy? with the bullet being pulled does it affect the flight of the bullet?

    thanks

Possibly if the bullet is scratched or dinged up bad enough. Generally in my experience they have been fine.

Different powder or different powder charge will affect accuracy to a certain degree.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

A different powder or charge or damage to the bullet will definately affect POI.

The bullet flight or accuracy will not be affected by the fact that it was pulled so long as it was handled properly. The action of seating a bullet or pulling it with a kinetic puller and having it fall into the padded compartment shouldn't hurt it. Small surface scratches won't make a difference (think about what the rifling does to it). If it were tightly crimped into the cannelure, that might hurt it and if it were crimped without a cannelure, that would hurt it. But that would even hurt a first time loading too.
