^ thanks... That is really interesting... I've been saving all my 300 win mag brass just in case. Where do you buy your components if you don't mind my asking?

Re-using your brass will save you a boatload of money.
Primers are about 3-4 cents a piece for Federal or win.
Powder charge, lets say 60 grains from a 22$/lb bottle = roughly 19cents.
Bullet. Biggest price variance possible. I like some of the 150 and 180 grain options from hornady and speer. 20-25$ per 100. so 20-25cents each.
Not counting brass, you're at 43-48 cents a shot for quality ammo. If you drop down to something for plinking, you can shave 10-15 cents.
Brass cost, lets say 60cents a piece for brand new (but why would you do this when your ammo is 1$ a round anyway lol, buy, plink reload. Other brass sources might also be cheaper). If you use it 6 times only, then your total round cost is 53-58 cents per round for quality ammo.
These are all upper bounds of what you should pay by the way. Using deals, coupons, bulk buys and other stuff can cut the cost down pretty decently.Originally posted by greasemonkey1911's instill fairy dust in the bullets, making them more deadly.Comment

I didn't read any response or even the thread. I only read the title.
40 S&W Commercial = $14/50
XM193 = $6/20
40 S&W Reloaded = $7.46/50
.223 Reloaded to match grade = $4.80/20
This is the current cost of components with my loads. If you shoot a lot. It is worth it.If you seek peace, prepare for warComment
